Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is hiring entry-level and skilled Tree Trimmers/Climbers to work outdoors removing and trimming trees to maintain powerline clearance. On-the-job training is provided with emphasis on safety and customer service.

Positions involve operating equipment, climbing, lifting, and working in all weather conditions. Competitive hourly pay is based on experience and includes benefits such as health insurance and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to obtain the knowledge to identify tree and shrub species.
• Willing and able to join local union and pay union dues.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees by climbing with the aid of a ladder, safety belt, climbing line, powered trimmer lift truck, or works from the ground using saws and pruners.
• Uses wedges, sledges, and chainsaws in felling trees or trimmed trunks and in cutting and splitting logs.
• Promotes and maintains good customer relations and safety on site.
• Loads/unloads trucks and feeds brush into a woodchipper.
