Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC seeks a Trimmer Trainee to join our field crew in Akron, OH. This entry-level role trains in trimming, debris removal, and operating woodcutting equipment, with a safety-first approach.

You'll perform routine tree maintenance, assist in equipment servicing, and support in traffic control and site setup. The position is full-time, non-exempt, with competitive hourly pay and opportunities to advance within our nationwide utility vegetation management organization.

Qualifications

• Must have good hand-to-eye coordination.
• Must be able to work in extended overhead positions.
• Must be able to walk, climb, and work from ladders or at various heights.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees, branches, trunk sections.
• Operate and service all required tools/equipment.
• Cleans up debris and maintains neat work area.
• Loads/unloads trucks and feeds brush into woodchipper.
• Assists in training new employees.
