Xylem Tree Experts and Kendall Vegetation Services in Henderson, KY is seeking a full-time Tree Climber to prune, remove, and manage trees in various settings.

The role requires climbing, rigging, and operating hand tools and chainsaws, with emphasis on safety and adherence to utility guidelines. Candidates should have strong physical fitness and a willingness to work storm restoration shifts.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate knowledge of knots, ropes, and rigging devices used in tree trimming.
• Able to climb/descend trees using rope and safety saddle.
• Administer emergency rescue techniques and first aid.
• Familiar with electrical hazards and procedures near conductors.
• Capable of working at heights in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Climb, prune, and remove trees according to Foreperson's directives
• Load and unload trucks with logs, brush, and debris; feed brush into brush chipper
• Work from the ground using hand saws, pole saws, pruners, hand pruners, loppers, and gas-powered chain saws
• Inspect and ensure proper working condition of all assigned tools and equipment
• Safeguard employees and public from hazards in and around the work area by enforcing safe job practices, keeping work area clean and orderly, and staying in frequent voice communication with co-workers
• Perform duties for storm work as needed
