Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts and Kendall Vegetation Services is seeking a skilled Climber in Grayson, KY to climb, prune, and remove trees according to Foreperson’s directives. This full-time role requires strong safety practices and the ability to work storm restoration shifts as needed.

You will load and unload logs, operate hand tools and gas-powered saws, inspect equipment, and protect coworkers and the public by enforcing safe practices while maintaining clear communication in the field.

Qualifications

• Experience in climbing and pruning trees with rope and safety saddle.
• Experience in electric utility vegetation management preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Climb, prune, and remove trees according to Foreperson’s directives.
• Load and unload trucks with logs, brush, and debris; feed brush into brush chipper.
• Work from ground using hand saws, pole saws, pruners, loppers, and gas-powered chain saws.
• Inspect and ensure proper working condition of all tools and equipment.
• Safeguard employees and public by enforcing safe practices and keeping area clean.
• Perform duties for storm work as needed.
