Job summary

BrightView Landscapes LLC is seeking a Climber I to perform general tree care, pruning, cabling, bracing, and removals in the field. The role involves working outdoors on trees up to 60 feet, operating chippers, trucks, and blowers, and assisting with site clearing and debris disposal.

The position requires basic tree care knowledge, ability to follow safety procedures, and willingness to obtain EHAP/First-Aid/CPR certifications if not already held. CDL-B and EHAP are a plus.

Qualifications

• Demonstration of role-specific skills or verifiable requisite experience.
• Follow procedures related to roping and rigging, equipment maintenance, and reporting malfunctions.
• Read and interpret safety rules and operating manuals.
• Ability to communicate using hand signals with climbers and with the public.
• EHAP/First-Aid/CPR certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic tree care such as pruning and limb removal in trees up to 60 feet.
• Safely access trees and move canopy while minimizing damage.
• Operate chippers, trucks, and blowers safely.
• Apply chainsaw skills in ground and canopy contexts.
• Use hand tools and PPE according to safety standards.
• Maintain a safe and organized work zone.
• Prevent property damage and personal injury during operations.
