Job summary

BrightView Landscapes LLC is seeking an entry-level Climber I to perform general tree care, including pruning, cabling, bracing, and removals, in an outdoor setting. You will support the team with debris removal and site clearing, while following safety protocols and PPE requirements.

The role involves climbing responsibilities up to ~60 feet, operating chippers, trucks, and chainsaws, and communicating effectively with climbers and the public to maintain a safe work area.

Qualifications

• Demonstration of role-specific skills or verifiable requisite experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic tree care operations such as pruning and limb removal from ground or canopy up to 60 feet.
• Access a tree safely according to company protocols after inspections and assessments.
• Safely operate powered equipment such as chippers, trucks, and blowers.
• Use chainsaw techniques for ground-based and canopy work.
• Use hand tools (saws, pruners, rakes, shovels) and wear PPE per standards.
• Maintain a safe and organized work zone and prevent property damage or injury.
• Communicate with climbers via hand signals and verbally with the public to ensure safety.
