Job summary

Phaxis is hiring an Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator for our Raleigh, NC practice with occasional Garner, NC visits. You will welcome patients, present options, and coordinate care with the orthodontist and clinical team.

Ideal candidates have orthodontic or dental coordinating experience, strong insurance and financing knowledge, and superb communication. This is a full-time, Monday–Friday role with a supportive, family-oriented team.

We are seeking a personable, confident, and highly organized Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator to join a close-knit, patient-focused practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who loves building relationships, educating patients, discussing treatment options, and helping families confidently move forward with orthodontic care.

What You'll Do:

• Welcome new patients and families and create an exceptional first impression
• Partner with the orthodontist to present individualized treatment recommendations
• Explain treatment plans, timelines, outcomes, and benefits of orthodontic care
• Present treatment fees, insurance benefits, and patient financial responsibility
• Develop customized payment and financing options
• Use consultative sales skills to help patients confidently move forward with treatment
• Answer questions regarding treatment, insurance, costs, and financing
• Follow up with prospective patients who have not yet scheduled treatment
• Schedule treatment starts and coordinate with the clinical team
• Maintain accurate patient and financial documentation
• Assist with front-office responsibilities as needed

Ideal Background:

• Previous experience as an Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator, Dental Treatment Coordinator, Financial Coordinator, or similar dental role
• Orthodontic experience strongly preferred
• Experience presenting treatment plans and helping patients move forward with care
• Strong knowledge of dental insurance, financing, and payment arrangements
• Excellent math and financial skills
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and customer service abilities
• Highly organized and comfortable multitasking in a busy practice
• Dental/orthodontic practice management software experience is a plus
