Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks an Accounting Manager - Treasury & Insurance to lead the monthly close, accounting, and financial reporting for treasury and captive insurance activities, including hedge accounting, FX, investments, and debt.

The role partners with Treasury, Insurance, Technical Accounting, FP&A and Tax to maintain a strong control environment and U.S. GAAP compliance, driving efficiency via Kyriba, BlackLine, and Oracle.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of IFRS and US GAAP with treasury accounting and reporting.
• Experience with hedge accounting, FX, investments, and debt.
• Familiarity with treasury systems (Kyriba, BlackLine) and EBS (Oracle/SAP).
• CPA or equivalent finance certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead treasury and insurance month‑end close and reporting under US GAAP.
• Partner with Treasury, Insurance, and Technical Accounting to ensure policy adherence.
• Drive process improvements and automation for treasury/insurance accounting.
• Develop audit‑ready documentation and support external audits.
