Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated is seeking an Accounting Manager - Treasury & Insurance to lead treasury and insurance accounting, close, and reporting under U.S. GAAP.

This role partners with Treasury, Insurance, and FP&A to ensure accuracy and controls while driving system automation (Kyriba, BlackLine, Oracle). The candidate will manage hedge accounting, FX, investments, debt, and captive insurance issues, delivering audit-ready documentation and clear disclosures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Typically 5+ years of relevant experience in corporate or public accounting with treasury exposure.
• CPA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent preferred.
• Life sciences or Big 4 experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own treasury accounting activities and month-end close for hedge accounting, FX, investments, and debt.
• Coordinate with Treasury, Insurance, and Technical Accounting for policy adherence and disclosures.
• Lead automation and standardization of treasury and insurance processes to improve efficiency and control.
