Job summary

Continental General seeks a Vice President, General Accounting & Bank Ops to lead Treasury, AP/AR, GL and cash reconciliations in a regulated insurance environment. This executive role requires strategic leadership and strong controls.

You will manage budget processes, coordinate with Tax, Financial Reporting and Auditors, drive process improvements, and build a high-performing accounting team. Hybrid work with in-office days in Austin, TX supports collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversees Treasury, banking relationships, cash management and wire transfers.
• Manages accounts payable/receivable operations and general ledger activity.
• Ensures timely bank and cash reconciliations and regulatory reporting.
