Job summary

Farmers National Bank of Canfield is seeking a Universal Banker who will travel between multiple offices to deliver exceptional customer service, handle transactions, and coach tellers on sales opportunities.

The role includes supervision of teller staff, opening and closing accounts, processing IRA and CD transactions, and driving referrals through sales programs. Strong knowledge of bank products and customer-aimed service is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
• 2+ years retail banking experience as teller or customer contact/sales.
• 1 year opening new accounts, sales and operations preferred.
• Previous supervisory and sales experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service by processing transactions and identifying client needs.
• Open, maintain, and close various account types and deposits.
• Direct daily teller activities and vault operations for orderly branch performance.
• Generate referrals and coach tellers on sales and referral techniques.
• Open, redeem, and calculate interest on Certificates of Deposit.
• Assist customers with Safe Deposit Box rentals and ensure confidentiality.
• Make outbound sales calls to current and prospective clients.
• Run a teller window as needed and adapt schedules to staffing needs.
• Ensure lobby activity is efficiently managed to serve customers.
• Support branch with dual control policies and proper audit procedures.
