Columbia Bank is seeking a Teller - Float to serve as the first point of contact for clients and support branches across a geographic area in Paso Robles, CA. The role emphasizes accurate transactions, confidentiality, and adherence to bank procedures.

Under guidance from management, you will travel to cover staffing needs, ensure service excellence, and contribute to branch goals while building relationships with clients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of previous banking or customer service experience preferred.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Ability to learn and comply with all Bank policies, procedures, and systems.
• Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail with numbers and written/verbal instructions.
• Ability to build relationships with clients and bank associates.

Responsibilities

• Always performs teller transactions and cash handling functions for clients with accuracy and confidentiality (deposits, withdrawals, transfers, etc.).
• Balance cash drawer and support ATM processes, night drops, negotiable instruments, and daily tasks to maintain branch integrity.
• Mitigate risk by safekeeping money and prompt accounting or transfer of funds.
• Interacts with external and internal clients, anticipates needs, and provides proactive solutions aligned with standards.
• Continuously deepens knowledge of Columbia Bank's products and services and stays current on changes.
• Discusses customers' financial needs to identify and offer appropriate products and services.
• Supports referral goals by identifying and referring basic bank products to the appropriate business partner.
