Job summary

Columbia Bank is seeking a Teller - Float to serve as the first point of contact for clients in Salem, OR. The role covers teller transactions, cash handling, and branch support while traveling to cover staffing needs within a geographic area.

You're expected to assist customers, explain banking options, and refer products to partners, while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality in all functions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year banking or customer service experience preferred.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Ability to learn and comply with bank policies and systems.
• Demonstrates accuracy with numbers and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Always performs teller transactions and cash handling for clients with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Supports daily tasks to maintain branch integrity and accurate balancing.
• Mitigates risk by safeguarding cash and funds transfers.
• Interacts with clients to identify needs and offer appropriate products.
• Refers basic bank products to the appropriate business partner.
• Stays informed about Columbia Bank products and services.
