Job summary

Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC in the Southeast is seeking experienced traveling Superintendents to lead large-scale heavy civil Power & Process projects across the region. Based in Birmingham, AL, you will oversee field teams, coordinate subcontractors, and drive safety and schedule discipline.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, plan development with budgets, liaison with owners and designers, HR for staffing and payroll, and compliance to deliver projects on time and within scope.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; 5+ years in a heavy civil supervisory role.
• Experience overseeing power distribution construction.
• Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and reports.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices.
• Strong leadership and people management skills; effective communication with owners, designers and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise Power construction projects from start to finish.
• Advocate safety as the top priority on the jobsite and enforce safety plans and regulations.
• Partner with Estimating, Division Management and Project Management to oversee project direction and coordination with owners, designers, and subcontractors.
• Develop and implement production plans with budget goals in mind.
• Assist Project Manager with project status reports and daily/progress/compliance reporting.
• Review plans and shop drawings for contract document alignment and coordination.
• Procure tools and materials to meet the work schedule.
• Determine staffing levels and recruit/direct onsite personnel per HR processes.
• Ensure payroll submission and HR/Payroll compliance.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, architects, subcontractors and inspectors to resolve issues.
• Monitor schedules and enforce subcontract terms and regulatory inspections.
