Job summary

Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC, a leading Southeast General Contractor, is seeking a traveling Project Manager to oversee planning and execution of heavy civil Power & Process projects across multiple sites. You will coordinate with field management, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery, while managing change orders and cost reporting.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or related field and a minimum of 3 years of construction

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of construction experience.
• Able to perform Assistant Project Manager duties proficiently.
• Experience managing all aspects of construction projects including architectural, civil, structural, mechanical and electrical.
• Working knowledge of Prolog and other construction software.
• Basic understanding of financial accounting systems.
• Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Technical writing skills.
• Conflict resolution skills.
• Superior organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask.
• Willingness to travel and/or relocate, as both may be required

Responsibilities

• Develop project business.
• Work with field management to generate safety plans for the project.
• Serve as the main point of contact for the Engineer.
• Identify and implement all contract deliverables, quality testing, and reporting.
• Create staging, logistics, and phasing plans for projects.
• Lead coordination of project activities and teams.
• Set up bonding/insurance, change order log, and cost tracking.
• Set up project in Prolog and E1.
• Responsible for project startup, including permits and licenses.
• Facilitate subcontractor pre-mobilization/startup.
• Issue and administer subcontracts and purchase orders.
• Attend scheduling meetings and update project status reports.
• Lead quality control plan implementation.
• Conduct bi-weekly safety surveys with project team.
• Expedite material deliveries according to schedule.
• Review labor projections, safety documents, and schedules monthly.
• Prepare payment requests and monitor invoices.
• Meet with city/state agencies to review project.
• Oversee project close-out documentation and procedures.
• Mentor assistant project managers and interns.
