Job summary

JE Dunn Construction Company is seeking a Traveling Superintendent- Self Perform (AFG) to lead safety, subcontractor coordination, and field execution across multiple project sites nationwide. This role requires strong leadership, planning, and the ability to manage self-perform work while traveling to assigned projects.

The incumbent will oversee safety, quality, cost, and schedule, coordinating with owners, design teams and subcontractors, while promoting JE Dunn’s culture and values.

Qualifications

• Formal safety culture and incident investigation experience.
• Experience managing subcontractors and field teams on large projects.
• Experience with self-perform work and complex scheduling.
• Knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and project reporting.
• Familiarity with Lean construction principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety culture and incident investigations.
• Manage subcontractors, staff, and workflow across projects.
• Oversee safety, quality, and EEO programs.
• Develop work plans and schedules with Project Manager.
• Coordinate site logistics and documentation.
• Lead meetings (standups, trade, OAC).
• Monitor budget and cost reports.
• Ensure timely, profitable project completion.
• Support self-perform work and procurement processes.
• Recruit top talent and promote inclusion.
