Job summary

JE Dunn Construction Company seeks a Traveling Superintendent for Self-Perform (AFG) to lead safety, manage self-perform work, and travel to assigned projects nationwide. You will plan, organize and execute on complex construction tasks, coordinating material, equipment, crews and subcontractors to meet timely, profitable project goals.

This role requires 5+ years in construction, strong scheduling and budgeting skills, and the ability to communicate with owners, designers and field teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years construction experience.
• 3+ years field supervision experience.
• Experience with Lean principles preferred.
• Ability to manage budgets and scheduling.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety culture and investigations; mentor staff.
• Manage subcontractors and overall job/workflow.
• Oversee staff, subcontractors, suppliers and programs (Safety/Quality/EEO).
• Develop work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
• Coordinate care, custody and control of the project site.
• Lead meetings: daily standups and weekly trade meetings.
• Attend/lead progress meetings (OAC) as needed.
• Create and manage project schedule with Project Manager.
• Track project budget and costs using PM reports.
• Communicate project information to owners, design team, authorities, subcontractors.
• Maintain project filing, logs, diaries and inspection notebooks.
• Record unit costs for weekly reports and daily logs.
