Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Superintendent 2 for traveling project assignments across the country, with base considerations in Indianapolis. You will plan, manage, and execute on complex projects, overseeing material, equipment, and people management to meet goals. Travel up to 100% may be required.

You will lead safety culture, coordinate with subcontractors and staff, and drive on-schedule, on-budget project delivery while aligning with JE Dunn’s policies and practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field preferred.
• 5+ years construction experience and 3+ years field supervision.

Responsibilities

• Leads safety culture and ensures an injury-free environment.
• Manages subcontractors and overall job workflow.
• Oversees staff, subcontractors, suppliers and QA/QC programs.
• Develops work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
• Coordinates project site care and control.
• Leads daily standups and weekly trade meetings.
• Attends progress and OAC meetings as required.
• Creates and manages project schedule with the Project Manager.
• Monitors budget and costs using project cost reports.
• Communicates key project updates to owners and teams.
• Ensures documentation, logs, diaries and drawings are up to date.
• Supports project closeouts and owner/architect coordination.
