Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Superintendent 2 to plan, manage and execute on complex projects with full-time travel across the country. The role focuses on safety leadership, subcontractor management and coordination of project site activities to ensure on-time, within-budget completion.

You will lead meetings, oversee QA/QC, manage budgets and collaborate with owners and design teams, while growing the field leadership and pursuing Lean improvements on multiple projects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field (Preferred).
• 5+ years construction experience.
• 3+ years field supervision experience.
• Experience with Lean principles (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Leads all aspects of the company’s safety culture and creates awareness by demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment through individual actions and mentoring others.
• Provides management of subcontractors and organization of the overall job and workflow.
• Manages and oversees company staff, subcontractors, suppliers and programs such as Safety, Quality and EEO for a project.
• Develops work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
• Coordinates and manages the care, custody and control of the project site.
• Leads various meetings including daily standup and weekly trade meetings.
• Attends, manages and participates in appropriate progress and/or project OAC meetings.
