Job summary

Cityscape Recruitment USA is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on large ground-up commercial projects. This travel-based role covers the Northeastern United States with a structured 10 days on / 4 days off rotation.

You will manage subcontractors, sequencing, and on-site logistics while driving the project schedule and ensuring quality, safety, and productivity from mobilization through closeout.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Superintendent on ground-up commercial projects.
• Proven ability to lead field operations with GC oversight.
• Strong delivery experience on warehouses, distribution centers, or large-format retail.
• Expertise in construction sequencing and subcontractor management.
• Ability to travel regularly across the Northeast on a defined rotation.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Job description

I’m working with a growing commercial contractor looking to add an experienced Superintendent to its U.S. construction team. This is a travel-based position overseeing projects primarily across the Northeastern United States, working on a structured 10 days on / 4 days off rotation.

The company delivers large commercial projects across the U.S. and Canada and is continuing to expand its project pipeline.

The opportunity:

• Lead the day-to-day field operations of large ground-up commercial, warehouse, distribution and big-box retail projects
• Manage subcontractors, manpower, site logistics and construction sequencing
• Drive the project schedule and coordinate daily site activities
• Ensure work is completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and quality standards
• Maintain a strong focus on site safety, quality and productivity
• Work closely with the Project Manager, client and project team from mobilization through closeout
• Identify and resolve field issues before they impact schedule or budget
• Take real ownership of the project and site team

What we’re looking for:

• Strong experience as a Superintendent with a General Contractor
• Proven ground-up construction experience
• Background delivering warehouses, distribution centers, large-format retail or similar commercial projects preferred
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, scheduling and subcontractor Management
• Comfortable independently running a busy construction site
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Willingness to travel throughout the Northeast on a 10-on / 4-off rotation
