Job summary

GPAC seeks an experienced Traveling Superintendent to oversee on-site construction for large-scale commercial projects. You will supervise field activities, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure safety and quality across diverse projects including hotels, casinos, healthcare facilities, and high-rise developments.

Extensive travel is required; read plans, coordinate with owners, architects, inspectors, and subcontractors, and mentor junior field staff to uphold GPAC’s standards on every site.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Superintendent in large-scale commercial construction.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain jobsite efficiency.
• Proficient with computers and construction management software.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and instructions.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Team-oriented mindset.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain project schedules and construction budgets.
• Coordinate with owners and stakeholders for required documentation, including work permits, preconstruction risk assessments, infection control risk assessments, safety documentation.
• Ensure all safety practices and procedures are followed on-site.
• Lead and supervise subcontractors and field personnel.
• Represent the company professionally during meetings with owners, architects, inspectors, and subcontractors.
• Utilize company software for daily reports, expense approvals, site documentation, time entry, and email communication.
• Mentor and train upcoming field personnel and future superintendents.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Field Operations Director.

Project values typically range from $30M-$200M+.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain project schedules and construction budgets
• Coordinate with owners and stakeholders regarding required documentation, including:
