Job summary

Scott Humphrey Corporation, partnered with a nationwide design-build general contractor, seeks Traveling Superintendents to lead ground-up construction projects across industrial, warehouse, healthcare, and more. The role involves running a jobsite from foundation through closeout while traveling to projects nationwide.

You will supervise field operations, manage trade contractors and crews, conduct daily safety meetings, and coordinate with the PM team.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Superintendent on ground-up construction projects.
• Background in industrial, warehouse/distribution, healthcare or similar heavy commercial construction.
• Willingness and ability to travel nationwide on an ongoing basis.

Responsibilities

• Lead all field operations on ground-up construction projects nationwide — schedule, safety, quality, and subcontractor management.
• Manage trade contractors and self-perform crews to maintain project schedule and budget.
• Travel to jobsites nationwide on a weekly rotation, typically home Thursday evening through Sunday, back on-site Monday.
• Conduct daily site inspections, safety meetings, and toolbox talks.
• Coordinate with the project management team on sequencing and milestone delivery.

Job description

We are partnered with a nationally recognized design-build general contractor to place Traveling Superintendents on ground-up construction projects nationwide. This firm delivers projects across a broad range of markets — including industrial, warehouse/distribution, healthcare, and more — and is looking for experienced field leaders who can run a jobsite from foundation through closeout while traveling to projects across the country.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Superintendent on ground-up construction projects.
• Background in industrial, warehouse/distribution, healthcare, or similar heavy commercial construction; tilt-wall experience a plus but not required.
• Willingness and ability to travel nationwide on an ongoing basis.
• Strong subcontractor management and field leadership skills.
• OSHA 30 required.
