Job summary

MPI is seeking a Traveling Superintendent to lead all on-site activities from mobilization to closeout on complex retail projects across the Southeast. You will manage subcontractors, schedules, safety programs, and quality control, while coordinating field operations to stay on time and within budget.

You will build strong client and partner relationships, conduct regular progress meetings, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Superintendent within commercial construction.
• Excellent leadership, scheduling, communication, and subcontractor management skills.
• Strong safety and quality control knowledge.

The Successful Applicant

• A successful Traveling Superintendent should have:
• Proven experience as a Superintendent within commercial construction.
• Can be based anywhere in the southeast
• Strong construction experience, including Big box remodel and or ground-up construction
• Experience managing projects typically valued between $3 million and $10 million.
• Exposure to projects for national retail brands and large-format retail environments.
• Ability and willingness to travel throughout assigned regions, including the Southeast, Midwest, or Northeast.
• Excellent leadership, scheduling, communication, and subcontractor management skills.
• Strong understanding of safety, project sequencing, and quality control.
• Proficiency with construction scheduling and project management software.
