Job summary

Lemartec, MasTec’s national general contracting arm, seeks a traveling Steel Project Superintendent to lead subcontractors and trades nationwide. You will drive planning, safety, and QA/QC to meet the Master Schedule, with a focus on data center projects and complex builds.

Requires 10+ years as a Superintendent (or 3+ with a degree), PEMB/structural steel experience, and travel up to 100%. Excellent leadership and OSHA knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 10+ years’ experience as a construction Superintendent or 3+ years with a degree.
• Experience with data center projects is required.
• Structural Steel experience and PEMB experience.
• OSHA safety standards knowledge and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review subcontractor scope of work and align with the master schedule.
• Coordinate safety meetings and overall project safety oversight.
• Control project access and traffic management on site.
• Prepare and maintain daily logs, testing, and certificates (e.g., concrete/soil).
• Maintain As-Built drawings and coordinate inspections and close-out docs.
