Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks an experienced Senior Special Systems Superintendent for a full-time traveling assignment supporting Advanced Technology projects, including Data Centers, Pharmaceutical, Industrial/Manufacturing, and EV/Battery/Renewables market segments. The role is Columbus, OH–based with extensive site travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of experience with progressive responsibility and exposure to construction design, cost, sequence, logistics and field installations of substantial Special Systems/Low Voltage systems and IT Infrastructure components.
• Experience with installation of one or more major Special Systems and IT Infrastructure components.
• Knowledge of TIA/EIA and BICSI standards.
• Special Systems integration experience.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Special Systems installation in compliance with contract documents, scheduling, logistics, quality control, field operations, and staffing levels.
• Develop Special Systems schedule including engineering coordination and installation.
• Follow safety program and ensure subcontractors comply with Turner standards and safety codes.
• Manage relationships with subcontractors and oversee Special Systems work across Trades.
• Lead coordination of Special Systems with other disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, and fire protection.
• Document and resolve issues related to procedures, design clarifications, labor, equipment, and schedule.
• Oversee safety, permits, and insurance for the project duration.
• Collaborate with Engineers, Designers, Subcontractors and owner reps to resolve issues across various project types.
• Create tools to monitor Special Systems productivity and benchmark against schedule.
• Assist turnover processes including start-up, testing, commissioning, and closeout.
