Job summary

Cleanleaf Energy is seeking a traveling Solar Technician I to join our Special Projects team. This first-level field position requires location within the lower 48 states and proximity to a domestic airport for travel by plane and vehicle.

The role emphasizes preventive and corrective maintenance on solar and battery installations, safety, and precise documentation within Cleanleaf's CMMS. Expect field work, mobility, and evolving responsibilities as part of a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must pass criminal background and motor vehicle record check.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Ability to communicate in English, both oral and written.
• Experience with OSHA regulations is preferred.
• Familiarity with CMMS and SCADA/DAS systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate integrity, safety, and quality focus in all tasks.
• Perform preventive maintenance on solar and battery installations per standards.
• Conduct corrective maintenance and document root causes.
• Ensure work meets Cleanleaf O&M standards.
• Complete tasks safely and within time.
• Maintain PPE, tools, and equipment in good condition.
• Interface with SCADA/DAS and communicate with management and customers.
• Document work in CMMS with proper photos and checklists.
• Perform vegetation management and panel washing.
• Assume other duties as assigned by Area Supervisor.
