Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. seeks a Safety Trainer to lead equipment and safety training for customers and employees. You will deliver instructor-led and virtual sessions, manage schedules, and maintain training records.

The role requires 5+ years in related fields, heavy equipment knowledge, LMS experience, and 30–40% travel. A high school diploma is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred. You will work across branches and support sales teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years in related field.
• Heavy equipment experience and certification (MEWP, Forklift, Earth Moving).
• Experience with adult learning methods.
• Willingness to travel 30–40%.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; LMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct equipment operator certification training and safety training using instructor-led and virtual modalities.
• Publish public training class schedules on a 3-month rolling calendar.
• Provide private classes at Sunbelt branch locations or customer sites.
• Maintain training records in Sunbelt systems.
• Coach and mentor Certified Evaluators in districts; support safety training initiatives.
• Collaborate with Marketing to promote training offerings to customers.
