Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. seeks an experienced Safety Trainer to deliver equipment operator and safety training to customers and staff across sites. You will leverage Instructor Led and Virtual Training modalities and maintain thorough training records in Sunbelt’s systems.

The role requires heavy equipment certification, 5+ years of related experience, and willingness to travel up to 40%. Proficiency in MS Office and LMS experience are preferred; bilingual applicants are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; related field preferred with 5+ years experience.
• Heavy equipment experience and certification (MEWP, Forklift, Earth Moving) is required.
• Experience with adult learning methods and safety standards.
• Willingness to travel 30–40% and deliver both public and private trainings.
• Proficiency in MS Office; LMS experience preferred; bilingual in Spanish or French is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct equipment operator certification training and safety training for customers and employees using Instructor Led Training and Virtual Training.
• Publish public training class schedules on a 3-month rolling calendar; provide private classes at branches or customer sites.
• Complete training records in Sunbelt’s systems; issue wallet cards within 24 hours after class completion.
• Teach Train the Trainer courses and mentor Certified Evaluators; support safety programs and marketing materials.
• Assist sales teams in promoting the safety training offering and participate in onboarding new trainers.
