Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals seeks an experienced Safety Trainer to lead equipment operator certification and safety trainings for customers and staff. You will publish class schedules, deliver both public and private sessions, and maintain complete training records in our LMS.

The role requires strong knowledge of safety standards, adult learning methods, and the ability to travel 10–15% to support field trainings. A high school diploma is required, with preferred bachelor’s degree and bilingual abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in a related field.
• Heavy equipment experience and certification (MEWP, Forklift, Earth Moving).
• Broad knowledge of industry safety standards, practices, and regulations.
• Experience and knowledge of adult learning methods.

Responsibilities

• Conduct equipment operator certification training and general safety training for customers and employees.
• Publish public training class schedules on SBR’s training platform on a 3-month rolling calendar basis.
• Provide private classes at an SBR branch location or customer site.
• Complete training records in SBR’s system of record.
• Sell and support the sales teams to close safety training opportunities and grow the Safety Training business.
