Job summary

American Engineering Testing Inc. seeks a Renewables Technician to perform on-site inspection, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of wind, solar, and storage systems.

This role emphasizes field soil and concrete testing on wind farm construction projects, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. The position requires frequent travel (3–9 month projects) with per diem housing and food coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain ACI Level 1 Certification.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel 95% of the year.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform field concrete testing (slump, cylinder casting, curing, compression).
• Conduct soil inspections and testing (excavation observations, density testing, DCPT).
• Document test results and report to contractors and project managers.
• Coordinate with technicians and contractors to ensure timely testing.
• Assist with installation, troubleshooting, and repair of renewables systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of renewable energy systems.
• Analyze performance data to optimize system efficiency.
• Follow OSHA, NEC, and environmental safety regulations.
• Operate field testing equipment and maintain safety protocols.
• Work in various outdoor environments, including remote sites.
