Job summary

Leidos Defense Sensor in Huntsville, AL seeks a Traveling Software/Radar Engineer to join a diverse team and solve complex sensor and radar problems. The role requires up to 75% travel to CONUS/OCONUS test events and hands-on support for installation and operation of systems.

You will develop documentation, train personnel, configure networks onsite, and write Bash scripts to streamline activities, working with other engineers across the program.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited STEM degree plus 2-4 years experience or Masters with less than 2 years experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% to test events CONUS/OCONUS.
• Strong teamwork with fundamentals in RedHat Linux, Bash, and Networking.
• U.S. citizen with Final Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support advanced radar programs via local field testing and test events.
• Develop documentation for installation and operation of systems for training.
• Collaborate with engineers during installation and operation; onsite network configuration and debugging.
• Create/modify Bash scripts to enable repeatable day-to-day solutions.
