Job summary

Leidos Defense Sensor seeks a Traveling Software/Radar Engineer to join a diverse team tackling complex sensor and radar challenges. The role includes field testing and supporting CONUS/OCONUS events while collaborating with skilled engineers on system installation and operation.

You will develop documentation to aid installation, configure onsite networks, and create bash scripts to streamline operations, with travel up to 75% and a US citizenship requirement for final clearance.

Qualifications

• BS degree in STEM with 2–4 years of relevant experience or MS with <2 years experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% to CONUS/OCONUS test events.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to maintain Final Secret clearance.
• Residence in the North Alabama area or willingness to relocate to Huntsville area.

Responsibilities

• Support advanced radar programs via local field tests and test events.
• Develop documentation to support installation and operation of systems.
• Collaborate with engineers during installation and operation.
• Configure onsite networks and perform debugging with military personnel.
• Create/modify bash scripts to enable repeatable day-to-day solutions.
