Job summary

Leidos Defense Sensor seeks a Traveling Software/Radar Engineer to join a diverse team solving complex sensor and radar orientation challenges across CONUS/OCONUS environments. The role involves field testing, documentation, and collaboration with engineers during installation and operation.

Travel up to 75% is required; candidate should have a STEM degree (ABET) with 2–4 years of experience, strong Linux, Bash, and networking fundamentals, and be a U.S. citizen with a final secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM-related field from an ABET-accredited school plus 2-4 years of relevant experience, or a Master's with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience traveling for work and be willing to travel up to 75% to test events both CONUS and OCONUS for extended periods and on short notice.
• Must be a US Citizen and possess (as well as maintain) a Final Secret Clearance.
• RedHat Linux experience, Bash scripting, Networking experience.

Responsibilities

• Support advanced technology radar programs through local field testing and CONUS/OCONUS test event support.
• Develop documentation to support installation and operation of the systems to aid in training of new personnel.
• Work closely with other engineers during system installation and operation; onsite network configuration and debugging.
• Minor Bash scripting modifications may be required to establish repeatable solutions for day-to-day activities.
