Job summary

HIAB USA is seeking a field service technician to perform service and maintenance on our on-road load-handling equipment, including forklifts and cranes, at various Hiab locations. You will carry out preventive maintenance, safety checks, upgrades, and refurbishments per supervisor instructions, building productive customer relationships.

The role requires a DOT Medical Card, a valid driver's license, and 3+ years of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical experience.

Qualifications

• DOT Medical Card must be obtainable and maintained for this position.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• No more than one moving violation in the last year, or two within two years; violations reviewed.
• 3+ years of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical operations.
• Appropriate diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Own tools required.
• Know, understand and comply with Hiab USA, Inc. Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, perform service, and troubleshoot on Forklifts, Knuckle Boom Cranes, Loaders, Liftgates, Hooklifts, Skiploaders and Hoists per Manager’s instructions.
• Follow safety rules, working practices, and environmental requirements.
• Stay up to date with technical developments and complete required courses.
• Respond to customer queries to maximize satisfaction and follow Hiab guidelines.
• Maintain records and submit daily reports as directed.
• Recognize sales opportunities and communicate to District Service Manager.
• Coach junior colleagues and trainees as necessary.
• Conduct yourself to promote a positive Hiab brand image and follow quality procedures.
