Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to support NW Indiana and Chicago territories. The role involves venipuncture, specimen collection for drug screens and tests, and data entry across multiple sites. Travel to additional locations is required to cover the floating schedule.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED or phlebotomy certification, with preferred 3+ years phlebotomy and 2 years pediatrics experience. A valid driver’s license and reliable transport are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or phlebotomy certification or 3+ months experience as a phlebotomist.
• Preferred: 3+ years phlebotomy experience; 2 years pediatrics experience.
• Phlebotomy certification/training must come from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in exceptional customer service; strong communication; ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for all ages.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately in the system.
• Process billing information and collect payments where needed.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain patient/specimen logs.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients.
• Travel to additional sites as required.
