Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to support multiple Illinois locations including Hoffman Estates, Niles, Aurora, Chicago, Elgin, Willowbrook, Woodridge, Westchester and Oak Park. You will perform blood collections, manage specimens, and assist with billing while traveling between sites.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy certification or equivalent training, and may involve 3+ months of phlebotomy experience; pediatrics experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completion of training program or 3+ months as phlebotomist.
• Preferred: 3+ years phlebotomy experience.
• Preferred: 2+ years pediatrics experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
