Job summary

Labcorp in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques across multiple sites, with scheduled hours Monday–Friday and some Saturdays, totaling 40 hours per week.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1 year of phlebotomy experience (certification preferred), and a valid driver's license. Travel to nearby sites is required; you will deliver accurate data entry and patient-focused service daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training from an accredited agency.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Pass color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
