Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Float Phlebotomist to join our team at sites in Joliet, IL and surrounding Chicago areas. You will rotate across locations with a 40‑hour week, Mon-Fri 6:00am–8:00pm and rotating Saturdays.

Expect travel to additional sites and duties in phlebotomy, data entry, and patient service. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or equivalent training, plus 21+ years old with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
