Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, data entry, transport, and compliance with OSHA guidelines. Requires pediatric experience, state phlebotomy certification, 2+ years of experience, and reliable transport.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state of employment.
• Minimum of 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of experience; reliable transportation and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge samples and record maintenance data.
• Collect and store specimens according to procedures; explain venipuncture process clearly.
• Match requisition forms to tubes; label, centrifuge, split and freeze specimens as required.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper temperature and labeling.
• Follow OSHA/DEP regulations and participate in annual trainings; assist with workflow improvements.
