Job summary

The position requires pediatric experience, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation with mileage reimbursement provided. This is a 3-month contract with potential to become permanent.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrate technique with straight and butterfly needles.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper labeling and temperature control.
• Adhere to OSHA and DEP regulations and complete annual trainings.
