Accounting Search seeks a Phlebotomist for a Bloomington, IN contract role with potential for permanent placement. Expect 8am-5pm, M-F, with float coverage to nearby sites and mileage reimbursement. Must have phlebotomy certification and at least 2 years pediatric-related experience; strong data entry and OSHA compliance skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique using straight and butterfly needles.
• Match lab requisitions to specimen tubes and ensure accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain sample integrity.
