Layton Construction is seeking an MEP Project Engineer in the United States to support Project Managers by ensuring installed work aligns with plans and specs. You will review shop drawings, coordinate with teams, and help develop cost-saving strategies while maintaining schedules and safety standards.

The role emphasizes collaboration with superintendents, value analysis, and bid support for trade contractors. Strong communication, blueprint reading, and OSHA awareness are essential.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Working knowledge of Word and Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
• Some ability to understand basic Spanish commands.

Responsabilidades

• Familiarize with project plans and specifications; review shop drawings and submittals.
• Assess plans for value analysis and constructability; report inconsistencies to architect.
• Identify cost-saving labor and production improvements.
• Attend and document weekly Owner/Architect and coordination meetings; distribute minutes.
• Publish weekly progress reports and manage information flow for construction.
