Job summary

NexGen is inviting two interns to join its MEP Department for Summer 2027. Locations are TBD, with work spanning both office and field environments.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills with effective communication abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Comfortable working in both office and job site environments.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Observe and assist with project safety efforts, including safety meetings.
• Support review and organization of job cost information and assist in distributing project estimates.

Responsibilities

• Support key project lifecycle activities including safety management, estimating, scheduling, procurement, and project coordination.
• Assist with quantity takeoffs and help prepare project estimates, budgets, and proposals.
• Contribute to project scheduling by updating timelines and sequencing processes.
• Help monitor project progress by gathering data and assisting in production tracking and reporting.
• Assist with cost tracking and administrative tasks, such as compiling reports and organizing project files.
• Support procurement activities by helping track materials and equipment orders, deliveries, and inventory records.
