Job summary

IQVIA MedTech Field Service Engineer role involves traveling across the United States to maintain, install, and update laboratory diagnostic equipment in hospitals. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure device performance and deliver excellent customer service.

The position requires 3-5+ years in repair and installation of medical diagnostic equipment, strong troubleshooting and communication skills, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Technical School in biomedical engineering or equivalent.
• 3-5+ years’ experience in the repair, maintenance, and installation of medical diagnostic equipment used in a laboratory setting.
• Biomedical, hardware, electrical, mechanical and diagnostic repair and troubleshooting experience.
• Professional business acumen and effective communication skills.
• Self-motivated individual who can work independently or collaboratively.
• Ability to travel to address repairs or maintenance.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Active driver's license and personal vehicle for local work.
• Ability to sit/stand for long periods and lift up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to clear hospital credentialing requirements.
• Up-to-date immunizations may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing communication and customer support to on-site hospital staff.
• Organize, test, and update medical devices, install and configure hardware, software, and network products.
• Conduct routine checks and record data from product tests after installation and configuration.
• Document and submit daily data while maintaining high standards of product support documentation.
• Full-time commitment requires travel locally, regionally, and nationally.
• Maintain credentials and review technical bulletins to stay current.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
• Maintain credentials through vendor credentialing services.
