Job summary

IQVIA is seeking a MedTech Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and update medical diagnostic devices in hospitals across the United States. This full-time role requires 100% travel, with local, regional, and national assignments and ongoing customer support.

The position emphasizes hands-on repair, calibration, and credentialing for hospital facilities, with opportunities to advance technical skills in the medical device field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Technical School in biomedical engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5+ years’ experience in repair, maintenance, and installation of medical diagnostic equipment (education may substitute).
• Biomedical, hardware, electrical, mechanical and diagnostic repair and troubleshooting experience is required.
• Professional business acumen and effective communication skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently or in a team.
• Ability to travel to address repairs or maintenance.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills for on-time completion.
• Active and unrestricted driver's license with a personal vehicle for local work.
• Ability to sit/stand long periods and lift up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to clear hospital vendor credentialing requirements.
• Up-to-date immunizations may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing communication and customer support to on-site hospital staff.
• Organize, test, and update medical devices, installing and configuring hardware, software, and network products.
• Conduct routine checks and record data from product tests after installation and configuration.
• Document and submit daily data while maintaining high standards of product support documentation.
• Travel nationally to support customer needs and complete assignments.
• Maintain credentials required by client customers via credentialing services.
• Perform other duties and/or projects as assigned.
