Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide basic clinical and clerical support in patient care. The role includes medication reconciliation, vitals, screenings, and point-of-care testing, with continued training through the MA career ladder.

The position involves travel between Hartford HealthCare offices as needed, support for front desk tasks, and collaboration with providers to ensure smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program or CT CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification or relevant experience.
• Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association within 3 months of hire date.
• All required credentials to be maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic clinical and clerical support in patient care within the Medical Assistant scope of education.
• Perform vitals, med reconciliation, allergy reconciliation, screenings, patient history, and virtual health.
• Conduct point-of-care testing including quality control and documentation.
• Assist providers with in-house procedures as needed.
• Provide scheduling, chart prep, referrals, check-in/out, prior authorizations, and transportation facilitation.
