Job summary

NHE, Inc. is seeking a Traveling Maintenance Supervisor to support maintenance across multiple properties in the Columbia, SC area. The role includes staff supervision, project prioritization, vendor negotiations, and ensuring high resident service levels.

Occasional weekends/holidays and overnight travel are required. Ideal candidates have extensive multisite maintenance experience, EPA Type I & II certification, a Certified Pool Operator license, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Extensive multi-site property maintenance experience.
• EPA Type I & II technician certification.
• Certified Pool Operator.
• Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
• Knowledge of apartment management laws and regulations.
• Knowledge of expense control and financial management.
• Experience in multifamily leasing, sales and/or customer service is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as a support person to Maintenance Supervisors or maintenance staff by filling in at properties lacking coverage.
• Collaborate with Director of Maintenance, VPs, and Area Management Team to ensure customer service levels are maintained.
• Identify and prioritize projects, solicit pricing to meet budgets.
• Execute capital projects as directed by leadership.
• Assist Area Management Teams by advising on candidates and providing subordinates development.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
• Travel may include weekends and holidays; regular travel including overnight travel is required.
