Job summary

AprilAire is seeking an IT Support Technician to be the friendly face of IT for employees across our Madison-area facilities and the Poynette site. You will help coworkers resolve everyday technology issues, set up computers and devices, and ensure they have tools to succeed in their roles.

You will travel between locations to provide hands-on support, document requests, and assist with password resets and MFA. A background in Windows systems, Microsoft 365, and customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in IT, CS, engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot Windows-based systems and common workplace tech.
• Experience supporting employees in an office or manufacturing environment.
• Must have valid driver's license for travel between Madison-area locations.
• Certifications in VMware, Nutanix, Cisco, Microsoft, ITIL, or CompTIA A+ are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for employees needing IT support across our office and manufacturing locations.
• Troubleshoot laptops, Windows devices, monitors, printers, scanners, docks, and other workplace technology.
• Respond to and document support requests through our service desk system with timely updates.
• Set up, deploy, refresh, and replace computers and devices for new and existing employees.
• Assist with password resets, account access issues, and basic MFA support.
• Support conference rooms, shared spaces, and mobile devices used across facilities.
• Track technology assets and ensure equipment is organized and ready for use.
• Partner with senior IT team members to resolve issues and escalate complex problems when needed.
• Travel between Madison-area locations as needed to provide hands-on support.
