Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a hands-on Equipment Maintenance Technician to install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment across multiple company locations. You will work with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, following blueprints and manufacturer guidelines.

The role requires reading maintenance literature in English, proficiency with hand and power tools, and a background in welding (MIG/TIG/ARC). A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months’ work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record is required.
• Experience using hand & power tools required.
• Lockout/Tagout experience is preferred.
• Prior welding experience including MIG, TIG, ARC, cutting, and brazing.

Responsibilities

• Installs and troubleshoots industrial equipment and systems per blueprints and manuals.
• Operates, maintains, and repairs mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Performs safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout and confined space as appropriate.
• Travel to multiple company locations to perform job duties.
• Welds and fabricates using MIG, TIG, ARC, cutting, and brazing where needed.
