Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install and service industrial equipment across multiple locations. You will work with washers, dryers, conveyors, boilers, and pneumatic systems, following blueprints and manufacturer instructions.

Responsibilities include welding (MIG/TIG/ARC), reading schematics, and using hand and power tools while maintaining safe operations. Travel between sites is required and adherence to safety policies is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• 6 months’ work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics preferred.
• Ability to read and understand maintenance literature printed in English required.
• Experience using Hand & Power tools required.
• Lockout/Tagout experience is preferred.
• Prior welding experience including MIG, TIG, ARC, cutting, and brazing.

Responsibilities

• Installs and troubleshoots industrial equipment and systems.
• Uses hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and electrical testing devices.
• Ensures safe operation of machinery following manuals and specs.
• Performs welding activities (MIG, TIG, ARC) and brazing.
• Travel to multiple company locations to perform maintenance.
• Provides maintenance information to partners.
• Performs safety procedures (Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space) as applicable.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
